Joy Clark to Join Ani DiFranco on UNPRECEDENTED SH!T: THE TOUR

Today, New Orleans singer/songwriter/guitarist Joy Clark announces her 2025 tour dates with indie icon and labelmate Ani DiFranco. Clark will be supporting her praised debut album, Tell it to the Wind, out now on Righteous Babe Records.  Tour dates begin January 16th in Austin, TX at the Paramount Theatre; a full list of tour dates is below and at joyclarkmusic.com. Listen to Tell it to the Wind HERE.

About the tour, Clark shares, “It’s a big effing deal to open for Ani DiFranco, an artist who I admire for her authenticity, unmistakable voice and incredible guitar stylings. I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to meet her devoted fans.” DiFranco says, “I look forward to sharing the stage with Joy Clark in the new year. She’s the real deal. Time to get out there and share some love and community!”

After her U.S. run with DiFranco, Clark will join up with Madeleine Peyroux in February for a select round of dates in Europe, including Paris, Berlin, Dublin and more. Dates are below and at joyclarkmusic.com.

Tell it to the Wind marks Clark's breakthrough on the national stage as a proud, queer, Black woman, merging the social awareness of folk, the rhythms of Southeast Louisiana, and the soul-infused sounds of her upbringing. Growing up absorbed in the music of the church, Clark eventually stepped beyond its boundaries and immersed herself in the eclectic New Orleans music scene. Her newfound community of queer individuals, poets, artists, and activists helped Joy connect more deeply with the self she was still in the process of defining. With her musicianship, grit and determination, she landed a regular spot playing with Grammy winner and living legend Cyril Neville, mesmerizing audiences in the U.S. and abroad. Through continued touring and evolving songwriting, enriched with intricate progressions and themes of freedom, love, and self-acceptance, she quickly garnered attention on the national folk and Americana scene.

The upcoming tour follows Clark’s impressive performances on some of the most prestigious stages in the world, including the Ryman in Nashville, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and the celebrated New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. She has played numerous times with Grammy-winning artist Allison Russell, who offered Clark a regular spot in her backing band The Rainbow Coalition, which led to appearances with Brandi Carlile and the Indigo Girls. Clark is bound to engage a host of new fans as she embarks on this next adventure with Ani DiFranco.
